In this area we will blog weather events that impact the city of Dixon, MO and surrounding local areas. We will list what type of weather occurred, any impacts from said weather as well as a listing of measured results from each event such as recorded precipitation types and amounts, wind gust speeds and any damage along with photo's of storm damage and any other useful weather related information.

While the Dixon area has received showers and thunderstorms this spring and there has been some minor flooding and marginal severe storms, There so far has been no widespread or large scale flooding or severe storms. No storm damage has been reported or observed in the Dixon area to-date.

Showers and thunderstorms, Some of which produced heavy rainfall and some severe weather became more widespread during the last part of May and the first of June. Heavy rainfall amounts in excess of 3 inches was measured in the Dixon area during the period. As a result some flooding occurred in the Dixon area. The photos below are from around the Dixon area. Namely in Southern Maries county on Rd 623. No flooding was observed but Dry Creek in Maries county also experienced elevated stream levels. In southern Maries county strong winds also caused at least one tree to be downed along Hwy 133 South of Brinktown. Photos below of flooding and wind damage.
