July 20 & 21 Doomsday Preppers & Storm Chaser Festival 2013 * * Severe Weather Conference *
“COME HELP US UPGRADE DIXON'S STORM SIREN SYSTEM” Come Join us in July at Missouri Festival Park, We will be talking about severe weather!
In an ongoing effort to protect life and property of Dixon area residents from the dangers of hazardous weather, The Dixon Weather Service in conjunction with the Missouri Festival Park, St. Louis Storm Chasers Association and PDS Storm Tours will be holding Doomsday Preppers & Storm Chaser/Severe Weather Conference 2013.
This event will be a fund raising effort to raise funds to upgrade the storm siren system in the city of Dixon and also to help the St.Louis metro area storm chasers association. This event will be held on Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21 2013 at the Missouri Festival Park located 4 miles north of Dixon on highway 133.
This event will feature speakers from the PDS Storm Group along with other storm chase groups as well as local emergency management, TV and radio media. There will even be a storm chasers vehicle show.
Vendors may also be available to display weather related products such as NOAA weather radios, Home weather stations, Storm shelters and other weather related items.
Entertainment will also be provided by the Missouri Festival Park along with a Doomsday Bug Out Challenge, Seminars and how to clinics.
The public is urged to attend this event to become familiar with local weather hazards.
