The Dixon Weather Service is a public service skywarn agency and storm chase team that serves the local portions of Central Missouri. We are CERTIFIED by the National Weather Service (NWS) for SKYWARN operations which means our storm spotters, storm chasers and weather observers are trained by the (NWS) and we have our certification on file.

Our pledge is to become the most reliable source of weather information for central Missouri along with tracking, confirming and documenting severe weather events in central Missouri.

The Dixon Weather Service serves only as a device so that you, the area resident and other interested parties, may receive the local weather forecast along with any watches and/or warnings that are issued by the National Weather Service.We are also a SKYWARN agency and encourage persons to report severe weather to us so we may in turn relay the reports to the National Weather Service (NWS)

The Dixon Weather Service is a NOT FOR PROFIT service agency, So we are funded through  grants and donations. If you find our operations and services usefull, please support us by making a donation. The Dixon Weather Service will remainNON PROFIT and we are not endorsed, part of, or funded by the National Weather Service (NWS) or the city of Dixon, MO. Please read our disclaimer

We offer a local area phone number should you wish to have an updated forecast or wish to report severe weather or weather related damage at any time. The number to call is: 573-759-2749. Please feel free to call 573-759-2749 anytime, 24/7 for a weather update or to report severe weather. All calls into our office are answered in the order received and can be monitored and recorded for quality assurance, training and verification purposes.

The Dixon Weather Service can also be contacted on the following chat services.
